We are very excited that we will presenting a very BIG check to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Atlanta, GA on October 10, 2009.

The time of the presentation will be 1:00 PM and the location will be at Big Creek Tavern, 3050 Big Creek Road, Buford, GA 30518. We hope to see everyone that participated in this event there to share in this.

The funds that we will present are a result of your kindness and giving to The Silent Partners for the Kids, Inc. at our Pirates of Lanier Poker run. We will have additional event 'T' shirts available at Big Creek as well.

Pirates of Lanier-Castaway Poker Run

We want to gratefully thank each and every one of you for helping us make our Castaways Poker Run on Lake Lanier a great success.
We were so impressed with the level of participation, the fantastic costumes and wonderfully decorated boats that entered the event. Your generosity will be heartfelt by the children that we are helping.
The marinas, sponsors and volunteers also need a big hand as well as they graciously donated products, facilities, time and money to the event.
Many people asked if we would do the event again. We want to assure you that we will do so next year.
The $75,000 grand prize winning poker hand was a full house, 3-7's and 2-9's. We are sorry to say that we did not have a grand prize winning poker hand based on our tally.

The best poker hand ($500.00) was 5-8's
The second best poker hand ($200.00)  was 5-3's
The third best poker hand ($100.00) was a full house 3-8's and 2-4's
And the worst poker hand ( Entry fee refund) was 7,4,Q,3,A
Again we want to thank all of you for joining in the event. We will be posting pictures that we have on our web site.
